Weather Delays and/or Cancellations

In the event of inclement weather, any delays or cancellations of Violet Township Women’s League meetings or events will be posted as soon as possible. 

General Meetings - if it is necessary to cancel a general meeting, you will receive an email by 5:30 pm on the day of the meeting. 

Interest Group Meetings -- notice of cancellation of interest group meetings will be made by the group contact person either by email or phone depending upon size of the group and/or the amount of time available before the meeting.

The Violet  Township Women's League is pleased to offer local students the opportunity to obtain funds for college through our Community Service Scholarship Fund.  Each year, The Violet Township Women's League awards one or more scholarships to a Pickerington area college-bound student for his/her commitment to community service. 

To be considered for this scholarship, students  must: 

-- Be a high school senior residing in the Pickerington Local School District and/or Violet Township.
-- Provide proof of admission to an accredited institution of higher learning
-- Submit a complete application, available from this site or from school guidance office 
-- Submit a short, typed essay describing your experiences in community service and what it means in your life
-- Submit two (2) personal letters of reference confirming your character and dedication to service

Applications are reviewed and scored in a "blind" process by which all identifying information is removed from the scorers. 

Children and relatives of Club members are eligible to apply for the Violet Township Women's League Community Service Scholarship. 

Any member with a child or relative eligible to apply for the Violet Township Community Service Scholarship may not participate on the Scholarship Committee in any capacity in the year(s) during which the child or relative is eligible.

2011-12

The Violet Township Women’s League meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month, August through May.  

 

Board meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Donato’s in Pickerington. All members are welcome to attend the board meeting. If you have a specific topic you would like to address, please contact jane Clagg (614-833-1148) to be added to the agenda.
